From News Center (Text/Photo by Deng Jiajing, School of Finance and Logistics Management) The 6th International Maker Marathon for College Students in Guangxi 2025 was successfully held at Baidong Campus, Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities on June 7–8, 2025. Teams led by Nguyen Thi Huyen (a Vietnamese international student) and Chen Meilin, both 2024 enrollees in Modern Logistics Management at our School of Finance and Logistics Management, secured third prizes. Notably, Chen's product prototype earned the competition's sole "Best Prototype Award".

The competition was organized by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, with Guangxi Normal University and Youjiang Medical University for Nationalities serving as co-hosts. It attracted participation from 161 faculty members and students representing 66 universities across the region, including 23 international students. The 32-hour International Maker Marathon challenged participants with innovation and creativity under the theme "AI+Application Scenarios". Among 14 interdisciplinary teams formed across institutions, two LZPU students contributed to projects focusing on "AI+Sleep Optimization" and "AI+Children's Health Monitoring" respectively. Both teams incorporated globally advanced methodologies throughout the process—identifying user needs through experiential learning, rapidly prototyping solutions, conducting product testing, and ultimately presenting their innovations during the final showcase.

The International Maker Marathon event has significantly enhanced collaboration between LZPU and peer institutions in the region, fostering innovation and entrepreneurship education. This event has not only advanced our educational practices and theoretical research but also established a robust framework for future innovation and entrepreneurship programs.
