Good News: LZPU International Students Win First Prize at the 4th "Chinese Language Plus Logistics and Supply Chain Vocational Skills" International Contest
From News Center (Text and Photo by Wei Xiangqing, School of Finance and Logistics Management) On December 8, the 4th "Chinese Language Plus Logistics and Supply Chain Vocational Skills" International Contest & The Inaugural ASEAN Collegiate Invitational, hosted by the China Federation of Logistics & Purchasing (CFLP), concluded successfully in Nanning. Under the guidance of teachers Wei Wandong, Wei Xiangqing, Huang Jianzhu, and Huang Jue from the School of Finance and Logistics Management, two international students stood out in the intense competition and both won First Prize at the national level, showcasing the achievements of LZPU's international talent cultivation. The two students are Nguyen Thi Huyen (enrolled in 2024, pursuing an undergraduate program in Modern Logistics Management) and Zuchriyan Alfin Sukmana (enrolled in 2024, pursuing a diploma program in Modern Logistics Management).
This year's contest brought together 384 international students from 30 countries and regions. After a rigorous preliminary round, 108 contestants advanced to the finals. The final stage featured an on-site defense, which assessed contestants' comprehensive abilities, including professional knowledge application, Chinese communication skills, career planning, and innovative thinking. Following more than two months of thorough preparation, our two students stood out in the finals with fluent Chinese expression, solid professional competence, and clear logical thinking. They responded confidently and performed exceptionally, ultimately distinguishing themselves from the competition.
LZPU's Modern Logistics Management major aligns closely with the logistics industry and specializes in automotive industrial logistics. The major adheres to a school-enterprise cooperation model, focusing on logistics technology R&D and innovation. It provides technical service projects in areas such as industrial park and enterprise on-site logistics planning, intelligent transformation, digital management, and automotive export logistics. Through output-oriented technical service projects, the major drives "Intelligent+" and "Green+" transformation, offering talent and intellectual support for enterprises' digital, intelligent, and green upgrades. The awards granted this time serve as a strong endorsement of the School of Finance and Logistics Management's major-building approach, which focuses on high-end logistics—particularly automotive industrial logistics—and follows the principle of "supporting industrial expansion overseas to advance industry-education integration, and enhancing talent training through the outputs of technical service projects". It reflects LZPU's effective practices in promoting the integration of "Chinese language + vocational skills" education, and marks a new milestone in our efforts to advance the internationalization of logistics vocational education and cultivate high-quality international technical talent.
LZPU will continue to leverage competitions to enhance both teaching and learning, further deepen international educational cooperation and major development, and steadily advance the internationalization of vocational education. We remain committed to contributing to the cultivation of high-quality technical and skilled talent.
