From News Center (Text and Photo by Xu Juan, School of Trade and Tourism Management) On the morning of November 12, 2025, the unveiling ceremony of the Liuzhou Industrial Overseas Service Base was held in the hall on the first floor of Xincheng Zhibu Building in Liudong New District. Qiu Fuming, Member of the Standing Committee of the CPC LZPU Committee and Vice President of LZPU, and Yang Geyao, Dean of the School of Trade and Tourism Management, attended the ceremony and signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of LZPU. This marks an important step for the university in supporting the overseas expansion of local industries and deepening industry-education integration.

This base will serve as a strategic platform to help Liuzhou integrate into global industrial, supply and value chains. Leveraging Liuzhou's industrial strengths and the policy support of the China (Liuzhou) Cross‑border E‑commerce Comprehensive Pilot Zone, it will connect high‑quality industry resources in Zhejiang and beyond and concentrate on three pillar sectors—automotive, steel and machinery manufacturing. The base will establish a one‑stop service system for cross‑border e‑commerce, supply chain management, digital enablement, and talent training, with the aim of creating a new hub for the region's export‑oriented economic development.

At the unveiling ceremony, LZPU, representing local vocational undergraduate institutions, signed a cooperation agreement with Guangxi Liuzhou Dongcheng Investment and Development Group Co., Ltd., the Liuzhou Cross‑border E‑commerce Association, and other partners. LZPU will leverage its strengths in cross‑border e‑commerce talent training, community services, and university-enterprise collaboration to take an active role in developing the base and building an industrial overseas service ecosystem that promotes coordinated development among government, industry, enterprises, and higher education institutions.

In recent years, LZPU has aligned itself with regional economic development and industrial transformation, deepening educational reforms and actively expanding its cross-border e-commerce initiatives. The School of Trade and Tourism Management has launched an undergraduate major in cross‑border e‑commerce and has continuously advanced a "curriculum-post-competition-certification" integrated training model. By strengthening practical education in cross‑border e‑commerce operations, digital marketing, and international logistics, the school has produced a cohort of versatile, practice‑ready technical and skilled talents to support Liuzhou's manufacturing sector in accessing overseas markets.

LZPU will use this opportunity to align closely with industry needs for overseas expansion, pursuing in-depth cooperation in talent training, resource sharing, and practical education. It aims to provide targeted support for Liuzhou companies' overseas ventures and to contribute substantially to the region's high-quality, export-oriented economic development.
